CHRISTMAS SERVICES

CHRISTMAS EVE

The ANGEL TRAIL

We are inviting families from all over Cullercoats and beyond to our 'Angel Trail' on Christmas Eve. Come into the church and follow the trail round to the tree and the crib. Stop and take a photo of the family before the nativity scene before moving over to the candle stand. Stop there to light a candle and say a prayer for your family and loved ones this Christmas, especially those who you love but will not be able to see over the Christmas period this year. Children are invited to dress up as one of the figures in the crib scene if they would like to. We hope to be flooded by angels! Young people from our choir and choir club will be singing at various times during the day and playing instruments (including the great organ). The church is open to welcome you from 9am in the morning until 7pm in the evening. Adults and older children are asked to wear your masks.

BETHLEHEM MIDNIGHT MASS

Our Midnight mass is very popular, but this year there are two very important changes. The Holy Eucharist will be celebrated at 9pm (which is around midnight in the holy city of Bethlehem) and YOU WILL NEED TO BOOK. We cannot guarantee admission if the church is full and you have not booked. To book please contact Blyth Johnson on 0191 291 2095 or at blythjohnson49@gmail.com If e-mailing please tell Blyth how many are in your group, or whether you are coming on your own, and leave a contact telephone number for our track and trace. There will be a (reduced) choir and everyone attending is asked to wear a mask. Sadly there is no congregational singing.

CHRISTMAS DAY

There will be a quiet celebration of the Holy Eucharist at 8am which will be broadcast on our Facebook page.

The main service of the morning will be at 9.30am.  YOU WILL NEED TO BOOK. We cannot guarantee admission if the church is full and you have not booked. To book please contact  Michael Nicholson on 0191 296 5147 or at michaelan@blueyonder.co.uk If e-mailing please tell Michael how many are in your group,or whether you are coming on your own, and leave a contact telephone number for our track and trace. Everyone, including the adults (!),  is encouraged to bring evidence of a visit from Santa Claus during the night. Once again there will be a (reduced) choir and everyone attending is asked to wear a mask. Sadly there is no congregational singing.

The THREE HOLY DAYS

There will be a said celebration of the Holy Euchgarist on the feast of St. Stephen (Saturday 26th) and the Holy Innocents (Monday 28th) at 10am. Services on the feast of St. John (27th) will be as normal for our Sunday worship, namely a said celebration of the Holy Eucharist at 8am and again with choir at 9.30am.

We look forward to welcoming you to any - or all - of our worship this Christmas.
